The imprint of deep seated pain

We can’t live with, but we can’t live without it? The DNA of our past experiences is deep seated into our subconscious and dreams. We can not escape those fears, uncertainties and the free fall feeling.Inspired by the survivor of a tragic event, the element of water in this work represent again the power of healing and transformation for the physical and emotional distress and the burnt wings are both an expression of pain and beauty. Working with layers between transparency and texture, the artist wants to express the ambiguity between strength and vulnerability at the edge of the survival.Inspiration of techniques and viscerally of the flesh is the works of Jenny Saville and Lucien Freud.
