“The Ocean is Love”

The Ocean is Love

Once upon a time, since Divine times, we Humans knew that we are drops, we are waves, we were all One with the Ocean, One with the Nature. Now, we are feeling trapped and suffocated by the endless waves of plastics brought into and from the Ocean. It is a continuous cycle of using, reusing and disposing of the plastic. The Humans and the Ocean should be in a symbiotic relationship. The Ocean is not begging for Love – the Ocean is Love.

Seven years ago, I traveled to Ghana for the first time. Since then, I have been consistently documenting this environmental issue on the beaches and the lagoons of this west-African country. People have learned to go about their daily routine, the plastic becoming just another perpetum element of their environment.
